For Buyers
You won the offer and now you’re under contract. Congratulations!
Now you need a closing attorney to handle the transaction. But what does the attorney actually do?
Closing Attorney Duties include:
Coordinating with the Buyer, Seller, Agents, and Lender to ensure the closing stays on-time;
Research the legal title to the property and advise the buyer of any issues, or resolve those issues prior to closing;
Clear any mortgage liens or personal liens from the property;
Accept and disburse all payments related to the closing.
